The High Street by Peter WillisWelcome to the Tarporley Parish Council website providing you with information about the village of Tarporley in Cheshire England and the activities of the Parish Council.

In England there are two tiers of local government. The Parish Council is the tier of Local Government closest to the people. The next tier of Government for Tarporley is the Cheshire West and Chester Council.

On our website we provide you with a description of our village and access to a location map. We outline the role and services provided by the Parish Council along with the details of our councillors. We provide you with the dates of our meetings and copies of the agendas, minutes and details and copies of our other publications. We provide details of the large number of organisations based within the Parish. Our contact list provides information to enable you to contact us but also includes contact information for other local government services providers and access to a service for reporting highways and street lighting problems online.

Tarporley now has a Country Market on the High Street on the first Saturday of the month.

Tarporley is developing a Neighbourhood Plan that will be the prime shaper of the future development (housing, commerce, leisure) of the village. Visit the Neighbourhood Plan website to find out what is going on and become involved.

Given the extraordinary level of housing applications at this time at a meeting on the 17th March 2014 residents asked for a link to the Cheshire West and Chester website guidance on commenting on planning applications to be provided here. Comment on or object to planning applications.
